Monster March

Saturday, October 31st

10:00 a.m. - Noon

Monsters, princesses, action heroes & other costumed characters are invited to march down Main Street on October 31 from 10 a.m. until Noon. Children (and adults) in costume may trick-or-treat for free at participating downtown businesses and farmers market vendors on Main Street between Merrill Avenue and Fourth Street. New this year, Main Street will be closed to traffic from Merrill Avenue to Western/Fourth Street. Division, 1st, and 2nd Streets will remain open for cross traffic. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Costume Contest

Families are encouraged to stop at Main Street Plaza to have photos taken for a costume contest. Photos will be posted to The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership, Inc. (DFP) Facebook page and the community will be invited to vote by “Liking” their favorite costumes from three categories: best group theme, cutest, and scariest. Voting will begin on Saturday, October 31 at 5 p.m. and close on Friday, November 6 at 8 a.m. Winners will be announced by noon on Friday, November 6 via Facebook and will each receive a $20 Downtown Gift Certificate.

Pet Costume Contest

Furry friends can participate, too! Victoria’s Pet Nutrition Center will be hosting a pet costume contest on their Facebook page, following the same voting timeline as indicated above. Pet costume categories will be scariest, most creative, funniest, and best group theme. Winners of the pet costume contest will win gift baskets and gift certificates from Victoria’s Pet Nutrition Center.
